The Wheatsheaf Hotel

The Wheatsheaf Hotel is reputedly haunted by a “dark figure” that has been sighted upstairs. Some have attributed this apparition to a criminal named Barry Fieldsen who committed suicide in the hotel in December 1949.

Also reported at the hotel was a ghostly enactment of a murder. However, at the time it occurred, the crime itself was taking place in India. The witness reported seeing an old acquaintance being stabbed by a man in Indian dress. This incident reportedly occurred sometime in the 1930’s.
